My application for an AU Bank zero-balance digital savings account was rejected during video KYC, citing bank policy, and I was asked to visit a branch. Why does this happen, and what are my options?

AU has a habit of rejecting digital savings account applications with some random reasons. They want people to visit branch so that branch guys can trap them for accounts with higher AMB.
Maybe you can try opening Platinum account (25k AMB) online again if it works.
Otherwise, you will have to visit branch.
I would suggest to wait for 2 business days before trying again.
