Why split IWDA and EIMI (and add a Nasdaq 100 ETF) instead of buying one MSCI ACWI fund?

For a global ETF portfolio bought through IBKR, some investors hold IWDA (developed markets) and EIMI (emerging markets) separately, plus a Nasdaq 100 UCITS ETF, rather than one all-world fund like an MSCI ACWI or FTSE All-World ETF. What's the reasoning?

Yes, there is a deliberate tilt towards the Nasdaq 100. It has given wonderful returns to me in the past (by MON100). In future, also, with all AI companies in it, I am bullish on this.

Frankly, I always try to choose a larger one (more AUM) for liquidity. I may be wrong here.

Splitting IWDA & EIMI is deliberate to keep the emerging market separate. IMHO, MSCI ACWI does not do justice to emerging markets.

Happy to learn from others.
