Do I need to give a cheque for an outward remittance at an AU Bank branch?

My other bank asks for a cheque drawn on my account when I do an outward remittance at the branch. Does AU Bank need a cheque too, or does it debit the account directly?

No need to provide a cheque. You can mention the AU bank account number on the A2 form, and they will deduct from there.

Even with IDFC (done last month with 25p markup and zero processing fees), it was the same.
