If I transfer about $1,000 a month to buy ETFs abroad, does brokerage depend on how much I transfer, or on the size of each buy order? How do Paasa's and IBKR's brokerage rates compare on European exchanges?
If I transfer about $1,000 a month to buy ETFs abroad, does brokerage depend on how much I transfer, or on the size of each buy order? How do Paasa's and IBKR's brokerage rates compare on European exchanges?
Pricing/brokerage is based on a single order value traded and not on how much is transferred.
On European exchanges (UK, Swiss, etc.):
Paasa has brokerage: 0.10% of trade value, Min per trade $1.70, Max per trade: $40.00
IBKR has brokerage: 0.05% of trade value, Min per trade $1.70, Max per trade: $39.00
So, for smaller trades up to 1700 USD, Paasa and IBKR have the same brokerage.
Say, you did a single purchase order of CNDX.L in Paasa for 3000 USD, you will be charged USD 3.
Same order on IBKR would cost: USD 1.70
