How long does an RTI second appeal take at the Central Information Commission?

I've filed an RTI second appeal with the CIC. Is a wait of more than a year for the hearing normal, and do the CPIO or first appellate authority usually act on the case meanwhile?

Yes 1+ year is a norm in CIC in my experience.

Just check CIC second appeal orders and difference between second appeal and hearing dates

Also can you please explain “quite hopeful with the updates they made” and “interchange”

Not sure about the new website, but it has always taken 10-20 mins to file second appeal in my experience, if you have the second appeal letter ready.

No, CPIO, FAA does not care about second appeals.

Unless you have patience and it’s not an urgent thing, don’t rely on RTI.

Even if CIC orders to provide information, CPIO can still deny and then you again file a non-compliance complaint and it’s hearing would again be after 1-2 years.
