In the tax calculator excel sheet for AY16-17 the provision to save under 80 CCD 1 b i.e. NPS is not available.
Only if employer provides the feature, it is accepted in the sheet. If the assessee wishes to make an NPS investment in SBI or any other agency, it can not be entered in the excel sheet.
