where should I invest FD or ELSS for 10k lumsum amount?

Hi,

I wanted to invest 10k to save tax for this year. As equity is at peak, so should I for Fixed deposit? investing in lumsum in ELSS i.e. equity at high point, will it be good idea?

I would suggest ELSS as next three years should be very good for economy, so equities would be give excellent returns.

Also, returns from ELSS would be tax free, but interest on tax saving FD would be taxable as per your slab rates (I assume 30.6%).
