I am salaried person in one of IT firm. Assume that my salary currently 70,000/- p.m. and am taking the same. After 1 month there will be increment and it will reach near about say 90,000/-. For Tax saving purpose If i ask my boss to split my salary with two cheque, one for me and another with my wife's name.
on first look as of me Its benefit for me. but will actually benefits me according to you?
I know if i change the job then it will difficult to convince for the same. but apart from there any legal inquiry can come? This am asking because last 2-3 years am paying more tax and suddenly it will reduce tax due to split salary, will it problem for me? What you suggest me should i split the salary or not? if Yes what portion should i maintain (50% will create any problems?)?
