Say I buy x mutual fund from demat hdfc ow much extra im paying...service tax, other tax, fund house charges, transaction charges(hdfc) etc.

Apart from demat account opening charges and annual demat fees, there would be brokerage (how much, it depends on your online trading account) also.
I won't recommend buying mutual fund through demat trading account. Instead go with direct online route which has no extra cost involved.
