There was some outstanding tax demand that was showing up against my name, which i had no clue of why.. I had been paying my taxes regularly so an outstanding tax was surprising. But i still made the payment via ICICI bank site towards that amount on the 9th of may 2013... I still see the same amounts shown in Outstanding Tax demand ( and it also shows Updated on 21st May 2013 , which is after I paid that amount ). When i see Form26AS, I see that my payment is being reflected.. I have Challan copies for the payments that i made... Question is, is it normal for "Outstanding Tax Demand" and Form26AS to be out of sync and there is nothing for me to worry about ? Or is it a cause of concern that its not updated. Please let me know.

It may take upto 2-3 months for your outstanding tax demand to clear even after payment and form 26AS updation.
You need not to worry for same.
