Rent reimbursement

My bank(employer) reimburse me RS 7000 as rent and Rs 500 as maintenance, Where as I pay Rs 8500 as Rent and Rs 1000 as maintenance. How much tax I have to pay or I am exmpted, as it is reimbursement? Should above be considered as HRA.?

If employer consider it as HRA, they can provide HRA exemption. But if they include this reimbursement in your salary (not as HRA), it would be fully taxable to you.
