I had sent my itr 5 to income tax department after duly filing online return for AY 2012-13.
Just checked on website of IT dept.. which says ITR5 rejected as it was recieved in damaged condition.
Kindly advise the way forward.

You should send ITR-V again through speed post as soon as possible.
If it does not reach in specified time, your ITR would be invalid and you would need to file return again.
