with respect to my current status, mentioned in question Portfolio Makeover Required, Pl guide me on Medical Insurance

  1. Is floating cover of 2-3 lakh ok for me.
  2. Best medical insurance.
  3. Any claim settlement report for the same.

  1. If you are living in a metro/tier-1 city and want to cover you, your wife and children then 2-3 lakh may not be sufficient. Get atleast 5 lakh cover considering high medical expenses in metro cities.
  2. You may pick from Apollo Munich or Max bupa.
  3. IRDA annual report has claim settlement for TPAs (see page 466-67 on 2010-11 annual report)
