There won't be much difference between opening NPS account through SBI or ICICI. They are just Point of presence and actual account would be maintained with CRA and NSDL only.
Account maintenance charges, contribution charges etc are same with all POPs.
Thanks Pankaj for the answer. One more query, is it a good idea to invest in NPS? can you kindly explain me. Thanks in advance.
NPS is a good plan to invest into. First it provides tax saving and it would be one of the few tax saving options left after Direct tax code is applicable.
Its a long term investment tool for retirement where most of amount cannot be withdrawn before 60 years. It also allows to invest into equities, debt and bonds.
Thanks a lot for your advise.
