Please let me know if brokerage commissions can be deducted before calculating the capital gains on selling the land? I have paid cash and how should we mention while filing the income tax.

Brokerage commission can be deducted from sale price of land, but you should have valid proof for this payment (an invoice/bill/payment receipt from agent).
