ECNR stamp requirement in my passport

Hi Pankaj, I am working in Bahrain as an Electrical Engineer. My passport is issued in 2004.It has got ECR stamp on it.I came to Bahrain with clearance of POE, which is valid for one journey for employment. Now I will be going back to India in march and i want to have an ECNR stamp on it so that i can come back for my employment to Bahrain.Please let me know 1)How much time will it take for ECNR stamp on it? 2)Will they will issue a new passport,if yes then how much time will it take?. 3)I will be having my resident visa in my old passport what about that.?

Please reply soon as i was already sent once back from airport for not having ECR clearance.

As passports are not being re-issued for ECNR, it may take upto one month for that.

You need to carry old passport also along with new one and visa on older one would be still valid.

yes, you can apply through Tatkal scheme and in that case you can get passport in 7-15 days.
