hi, Currently my passport has ECR status. i am planning to apply for H1B visa (US), do i need to remove ECR Status from my passport before applying ? and can i travel and work in US with ECR status on my passport?

ECNR stamp is not required for visiting USA, so you need not to get ECR status cleared before visiting US.
