Sir, actually in chennai it costs around 80 lakh in city, iam confused bcaz for my budget i can go for seconds or out of city. work for hubby, school for kid r in the city. pls advise thanx dhivy

For buying new house, there are not much documents required. Your ID proof/PAN card will be sufficient to get registration done.
if you need home loan then multiple documents will be needed like PAN card, Income tax return copies, form-16, bank statements etc.
Initial payment for a house depends on builder to builder for a under construction property. If availing home loan , you may have to pay 15-20% of total payment yourself.
You should choose property carefully considering all these factors like school, offices, hospitals and market etc.
