The government of India has made major amendments in Service Tax rules w.e.f. 01/04/2011 Please confirm whether I have to pay service tax for construction of my house which is under construction, If yes , then how much.

You would have to pay 10.3% service tax only on 33% of the amount that you have paid for building construction. Thus, the effective rate of tax for you would be about 3.34% of the total amount paid by you.
