Hi, I had doubt in House Rent Tax exemption, I am working in Kerala but my parents staying rented house in Tamilnadu. whether i able to show House Rent Tax exemption which i giving rent in Tamilnadu.

House rent allowance is provided for employee accommodation near his/her office. You cannot claim HRA exemption for house which is not at a commutable distance from your office.
