Am i eligible for Medical Reimbursement even if my employer is giving only Medical Allowance?

Hi,

I am a salaried person. My employer is giving Medical Allowance but no Medical Reimbursement is given. My doubt is when i file the tax return, can i produce the medical bills to avail the tax deduction under Medical Reimbursement, directly to IT department?

If employer does not provide medical reimbursement component, it cannot be claimed while filing income tax return. There is no section in ITR to show the same.
