For the year 2010-2011 i had not submitted LIC premimum papers & house rent slips, due to which i had to pay tax. My questions are
Q1. What all things are needed to file the returns? Q2. How to file the returns? Q3. how much time does it get the return?
House rent slips has to be submitted to the employer.
There is no provision for providing HRA exemption in the income tax return.
You can put LIC premium amount under 80-C section of income tax return form 1 and claim refund for the same. There is no need to attach any proof/document along with income tax return.
Once you file income tax return, you can expect tax refund within 4-5 months.
