LTA Claim for Both Train and Taxi Travel

Hi,

I have traveled to Kodaikanal from Chennai with my Family (Chennai - Dindigul through Train 3rd AC and from Dindigul - Kodaikanal - Dindigul through Travels Cab). I am eligible for Rs.15,200/- for LTA (both previous and current Financial year together). Can LTA can be claimed for both the mode of transport, cause both together only I am able match my LTA Claim of Rs.15,200/- (Train - Rs.7,090/- and Taxi Rs.8,500/-). Kindly suggest whether can I claim both the mode of Transports for my LTA Claim

You can use taxi bills for LTA claim, but maximum exemption would only be limited to actual fare on public transport (e.g. train, state transport bus, economy class air travel) on such route.
