Do I need to provide medical/uniform receipts if my total income with these exceeds 2 lakh but without the nontaxable elements it is less ?

My total income for the year including the Medical allowance & Transport allowance exceeds 2 LPA. Considering these allowances are non taxable, if I deduct them then my total income comes to be under 2 LPA which is tax exempt. My question is do I need to provide the receipts in order to avail the exemption or is it not required ?

If you don't provide receipts/bills to employer, they would make it taxable and may deduct TDS if total income exceeds 2 lakhs.

Transport allowance (800 per month) does not need submission of bills/receipts.
