Constitution of firm in real estate business

Dear Pankaj

1.can a public limited company and partnership firm join together to form a new partnership? 2.When a `partnership firm enters into an agreement with another party,is it enough if one of the partners sign the agreement? The above questions become important in real estate industry. I have come across a case where owner of the land is a partnership firm [of a public limited company X and a partnership firm Y], The builder is a partnership firm Z. The signatory of the public limited company as a director is also the signatory of the partnership firm Z.

Are the above legally ok?
