LTA - Exemption-LTA

Hi Pankaj,

I would like to claim for LTA for next calender year 2013, I would like to travel on 26th Dec 2012 and come back on 4 th Jan 2013 from Pune to Trivendrum and back to Pune. Can I claim for LTA? Or do I need to travel in next calender year only i.e. 2013

Hi,

LTA can be claimed twice in a block of four calendar years. The current 4 year block is from January 2010 to December 2013. As your travel falls in this block, you can claim (provided you haven't claimed LTA twice already in this period).

Regards
