LTA Policy

@ Pankaj :

  1. I travelled by "air" from Bangalore to Jaipur ( air travel ) where train connection is avilable
  2. From jaipur to Abu Road i travelled by "Taxi" ( where train is avilable )
  3. At bangalore used Taxi to go to airport from home and back

& the same route followed on return journey

Is it fine to claim all above expenses ( LTA limit is not a problem for me at all )

If i travel two time in one year , can i claim both journey together while claiming for LTA

You can claim economy class air travel from Bangalore to Jaipur, even if rail route is present. There should not be any issue in that. Whole amount would be non-taxable.

From Jaipur to Mount Abu, you can claim taxi bills but maximum exemption would only be limited to first class train fare on this route.

From home to airport travel, taxi bills can be shown but maximum exemption would be limited to public transport fare on this route (state transport bus etc)

Only one travel per calender year can be claimed, not more than that.
