ECNR and visa

my last passport was issued in 2006 with ECR stamp. So, i applied for a new passport with ECNR status to work in dubai (employment visa). I received my new passport without any stamp on it. Does that means i have ECNR stamp or not. And also, my visa from dubai had my old passport number on it. Will i be able to pass through emigration on that visa...thanks a lot in advance

On new passports, no stamp means ECNR status by default.

Visa on old passport would remain valid and you need to carry both passports all time.
