purchase DDA flat on POA on installment

My father purchased a DDA in Delhi on leasehold basis on power of attorney (POA) . We are now paying the monthly instalments to DDA, The instalments ,electrcity bill and water bill are deposited in the name of seller/original allottee.

Can my father get tax rebate on this installment?
If yes what is the procedure to claim.
If no how can I claim?

I don't know whether following question shold be ask here or not but please give me direction or forum where i can get the answer.

  1. How can i make electricity bill and water bill on my father name before completing the instalment.
  2. if i pay all the installment at once how can i make it to our name as name is of original allotee. Thanks

Installment payment to builder for house does not provide any tax benefit. If I am correct, there is no home loan taken for purchase.

You need to get flat transferred to your father's name, then water and electricity bills would come in your father's name.
