TDS calculation for job chnage in Mar- Apr

Hi, I have resigned from my previous company on 19 Mar & Last working days was 24 Mar. As per company rules I have given them 1 month notice (till 19 Apr) but they decided to relieve me earlier and pay me one month salary. They have not paid my salary for the month of Mar. Now they will pay my salary along with Full and final settlement.

As the F. Y. closed on 31 March My query is - 1. Is company liable to deduct TDS on whole amount payble at F & F. 2. Can they make two payment i.e. one for my salary till 31 March less TDS and second for the F & F amount without deducting TDS 3. Plse send me the regulation and your answers on [email protected]

They would be deducting taxes on full amount considering whole payment was done in FY 2011-12. As you would not be working with them in FY 2012-13, whole amount would be taxable in FY 2011-12.

Providing one month salary without employment would be treated like bonus and HRA, medical etc would also not be applicable for this period.
