medical allowance


Is 1250/month or 15000/year non-taxable for medical allowance if original bills are submitted or the condition is either 15000/year with medical bills submitted or 1 month basic, whichever is lower can be exempted?

Maximum Rs 1250 per month or 15000 per year is non taxable for medical bill reimbursements.

In case service is less than 12 months, employer may only reimburse amount on pro-rata basis.
