Regarding Indiabulls Trading Account AMC

Hi Pankaj,

With effect from 1st April 2012, Indiabulls will charge Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) as 450 Rs for trading account. Earlier it was free life time.

I am a small investor & perhaps no plan to invest in near future. Only I have some shares (approx 2 lks), which I would sell in appropriate time.

Can I transfer my shares to another trading company & start using that?

Is there any trading company which has zero AMC?

Thanks, Pranab Biswal Gurgaon

You can transfer shares from one demat to another one. Indiabulls may charge you some fees for this transfer. It may be free of cost in some cases (sometime if both demat accounts are in name of same person).

We don't have much idea about online trading companies prices and which offer zero yearly charges. Most of the brokerage companies generally keep it free for a year and then start charging. And anyways, even if they say it as free, there might be some other hidden charges and high brokerage fees they might be charging.

Indiabulls had a free account opening and free demat account those days.. Still remember that it was the New and exciting broking house..

If you open a BSDA demat account, your AMC amount will be NIL. This holds true only if you have a portfolio worth of less than 50,000/- beyond that you get chraged at Rs.100 and so on.. Hope this helps.
