Tution fees paid for children under Section 80C

I have two kids aged 2.5yrs and 5 yrs. My youger daughter is going to play school [eurokids] for which I have incurred fees as follows: Registration fees-Rs.2200/- Books/transport/uniform -Rs.360/- Tution fees - Rs.7700/- Admission fee/Term fee/ Annual fee/Administrative fees - Rs.4000/- library activity fee - Rs1000/- Books/SMS/Parent Resource - Rs.475/- +Rs.125/-

Total - Rs15860/-

For my elder daughter studying in UKG the following was the break up

Admission fees: Rs.9000/- Administrative fees - Rs5000/- Poor Fund- Rs.1000/- Development fund- Rs.11000/-

Total - Rs.26000/-

What components of the fees can be considered in the relevant section.Can the total fees paid be taken into consideration

Under 80C, fees paid excluding any payment towards development fees, donation or payment of similar nature is allowed for deduction.

In case of younger daughter, you should be able to claim Rs 7700 for tuition fees and Rs 4000 for admission fees.

In case of elder daughter, admission fees of Rs 9000 should be allowed for deduction.
