CIBIL Clearance

I have been included in CIBIL defaulters list. Please advice what is the way out. Do I need to re-approach my banks and pay off the all the amounts of closed accounts.

Kindly advice.

You can get your CIBIL credit score report by applying on CIBIL website.

Once you have it, you can see what are the issues because of which you have been declared a defaulter. It will have bank/credit card details which have reported defaults in your name.

Once you know your accounts, you can approach bank/credit card company to clear the record.

Thanks Pankaj for your response! I have settled one of my credit cards in 2011 by repaying all the principal due and interest charged partly. I enquired and found that the card is closed now. What can I do now. Please advice. Thanks Guru

CIBIL credit score also takes settlements into account. Credit card shows 'settled' status in report. The Settled Status can be removed after having cleared entire dues. See if you can re-negotiate with credit card company and get it removed.
