Reimbursement Exemption

  1. Can prepaid mobile phones be covered under telephone reimbursement, if an employee submits online bills of his/her recharge?

  2. what documents need to be submitted for claiming car reimbursement (fuel expenses) on a car owned by the employee. Also can the employee still claim reimbursement exemption if the car is not in his/her name but in the name of a family member?

I believe prepaid recharge vouchers/online invoice can be used to claim mobile phone bill reimbursement. But it depends on company policy and employer may accept or not.

For car reimbursement, fuel expenses (petrol/diesel bills) or car maintenance bills (service, oil change etc) can be submitted. Car should be in name of employee in order to claim reimbursement for same. Or car can be company provided.
