Non-transfering my EPF pension from SBI Shahibaug Br. Ahmedabad To SBI Cherupu, Kerala since 11.5.2010

14th September, 2011

Dear Sir,

Sub:- Transfer of my EPF pension PPO No. GJ/NRD/1480

I had been working with M/s. Reliance Industries (Textile Division), Ahmedabad and I had taken VRS in the year 2001. My pension was started from 12.06.2010 as I completed 58 years and my pension was started thru NIFT to State Bank of India, Shahibaug Branch, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. After my husband's retirement, I have shifted my residence from Ahmedabad to Trichur, Kerala State in the year December 2009. Before I leave from Ahmedabad, I had requested to The Regional Provident Fund officer, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad vide my letter dated 23.12.2010 and a copy to Asst. Provident Commissioner, Kaloor, Kochi, Kerala to transfer my above cited PPO file to State Bank of India, Cherpu Branch, Trichur under Saving Account No.20042938084. Accordingly they had sent a letter to SBI, Shaibaug Br. Ahmedabad vide letter 11.05.2010 and a copy to me to transfer the Original PPO File No. 1480 to S.R.O Naroda as I desire to pension from SBI, Cherpu. Kerala .

Inspite of repeated reminders and my personal visit to SBI, Shaibaug, my PF Account has not beeen transferred till today. Meanwhile, I was informed by them that the Original PPO File has been mis-placed at their end. Hence I would like to know what steps I should take in this regard. Please let me know so that I can proceed further.

With regards,

Radha Rajan

Unfortunately both SBI and EPF department are Govt ones and they do not pay any attention to what customers are saying. They can easily say that file is misplaced because they don't want to work and look for case again.

I would request you to complain to SBI manager in written and if that also not work, raise issue with banking ombudsman. This can be done online on this page: RBI online complaint form banking ombudsman
