Emigration Check for Taiwan

I hold an Indian passport, renewed and issued in 2014, which does include the ECR stamp. I am an engineer and also been in the US for about 5 years, so I assume I am eligible for ECNR. But for now my passport has ECR stamp, and I have an employment opportunity in Taiwan (republic of china), would I need to apply for a emigration clearance ?

ECNR is not required for Taiwan, so you can travel even with ECR passport.
