Dear Pankaj, Can you please let me know the % of deduction that can be claimed as exemption for a trust that is issued certificate under 80G(5)(vi). I donated an amout of Rs25000/- for this institution in FY2012-13. Thanks in advance.

50% of the donation amount shall qualify for exemption from income tax, but maximum exemption would be limited to 10% of gross income.
