Leave travel allowance tax exemption

Dear Batraji,

I need a information about Leave travel allowance exemption.

I had claimed LTA for the year 2010 & 2011 cumalatively on year 2011 and the total LTA amount has been tax exempted after submitting the bills. Now again I had taken LTA for this year 2012. If I submit the bill whether the amount has been exempt from tax or not. Please clarify.

As you have already claimed two tours (2010 and 2011) in four years block (Jan 2010-Dec 2013), you won't be eligible to get tax exemption for any more travel done before Jan 2014.
