Passport issued in 2000: ECNR status

Hi Pankaj,

I have issued my passport in the year 2000. I have done my passport based on my intermediate qualification. On its second page, it has "Emigration check requires(ECR) except for Bangladesh,Pakistan..with a seal". The same has been present when i renewed it in 2010.

Whether i have ECNR and can travel to Malaysia on Work Permit Or do i need to get ECNR stamp from passport

Your passport is with ECR status and you would need to get ECNR status or emigration clearance before leaving for any of the listed countries for employment.
