non receipt of intimation us 143 1 IT refund

sir I filed my IT return for Ay 12-13 and had also recd the Income tax CPC on 6th of Aug 12, but I am still to receive the intimation u/s 143 (1) as I am expecting a refund from them. Whereas my wife who filed her return 1 month later to me has also recd her intimation u/s 143(1) for the refund.

My email id and rest of the things information provided are also correct, I am also checking the status my login my IT account but its says that the assessing officer has not sent the refund to the banker.

Please advice me how and where to call up and find the status of my refund

There is no as such fixed rule that returns filed earlier would be processed earlier. Processing of returns and refunds may depend on multiple factors like assessing officer, complexity of return, workload on assigned assessing officer etc.

You can expect to get refunds within 3-4 months of return filing.

sir, thanks for your response, Its almost 3 months, should I wait for a month more, otherwise how to find on the status other than login my account, where the status is not yet updated

There is no other option but to wait for IT department to process your returns.
