LTA Claim for 2012-13

Hi Pankaj Sir,

i have below doubt in claiming LTA.Could you please advise me?

i am working and staying in Hyderabad with my Wife.(My Home Town is Chandigarh) My parents stay in Chandigarh but for past 3 months they are staying with my brother in Pune.

Recently they visited me in hyderabad and we all 4 (me, my wife and parents) are travelling from Hyderabad on SAME date (via Flights)

But me and my wife are travelling to my HOME TOWN- Chandigarh and Parents are travelling back to Pune.

Doubt-1: in this scenario, can i include my parents travel fare while claiming LTA?

Doubt-2 : Me and My wife had a flight from HYD-DEL and from DEL-my home town we hired a private Taxi. in this case would i be able to calim Taxi Fare from DEL-My Home Town as well?

  1. All passengers must travel together with the person who is making the claim to the same destination, so you cannot claim for travel done by your parents to a different city.
  2. You should submit private taxi bills for Delhi-Home town travel, but maximum exemption would be provided as per public transport fare on this route. If train route exists on this, first class AC train fare would be considered, else bus fare on state transport would be considered.
