Can you please help me out with from when 1% VAT is applicable for purchase of new under construction house from a builder. I had my flat registered in Jan 2010. So do I need to pay VAT at 1% of agreement cost ?

In Maharashtra, 1% VAT is applicable on flats registered only after 1st April 2010. If you had registered it before April 2010, it should not be applicable.
