secondly if i already have NPS accont then how would the deatails get transfer to my present employer?

is it mandatory to tell my current employer abt previos one. i dont want to tell them , hiding from them could create any problem??

There are no different NPS departments for different states/cities/employers. New pension system (NPS) accounts are managed centrally by PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority).

As such PFRDA do not disclose previous contribution to anybody other than investor, so it should not be an issue to inform existing PRAN/NPS account details to new employer.

An investor can have only one NPS account. Multiple accounts and PRANs are not allowed.

no u did not get my question actually i asked if my employer can track through nps that i hv wrked previously in such and such company??

i dnt wanna tell them abt my previous job.. do they get info abt it through nps

Generally they cannot get this details from NPS account.
