Please let me know what are the items exempted in IT. Is Uniform allowance/ Car reimbusement/ maintenance, Driver salary, preodical/ journal expenses exempted.

If these are part of your salary and you provide bills for same, they would be non taxable upto some limits.
Car maintenance would be non taxable upto Rs 1800 per month for self owned car.(Rs 2400 in case of car more than 1600cc)
