I am working in UAE now. I have passport with ECR stamp on it. I have residence visa of UAE as well. Now in Feb-12 I need to visit India for short term of 3-4 days to bring my wife here. I know I could face problem due to ECR stamp. Can I apply for new passport with ECNR in UAE only? Or can I get in from India even tho I am not present in India? Please suggest some way to get it done. Thanks in advance.
