Nontaxable Reimbursement


Can you please guide, if a employee uses car for personal and offical purpose can he get Petrol, Car maintenance, Driver allowance. Is there any limit to the reimbursement that can be given. Also help with the maximum limit which can be given for telephone reimbursement.

Depending on car's cubic capacity, you can get exemption for 1800 or 2400 Rs per month for car maintenance and petrol expenses. But your employer must have these components in your CTC (cost to company) structure.

Similarly, For driver salary, exemption for Rs 900 per month can be availed.

There is no as such maximum limit for telephone reimbursements.
