1) Can i avail LTA for 2010-2011 by travelling between 26mar2011- 2ndApr2011 ? 2) Can i avail 2 LTA's by making 2 trips between Apr2011- Mar2012, one for 2010-2011 & other for 2011-2012 ?

LTA exemption can be availed for travel done twice in a block of four calender years. Further only one travel can be exempted in a calender year.

  1. You can claim exemption for travel done between 26 Mar 2011 - 2 Apr 2011, only in 2011-12 as exemption can only be claimed after travel is done.
  2. Yes you can claim 2 LTA's by making one trip in 2011 and one in 2012 (calender year).
