Investments in Mutual Funds

Hi Pankaj !

I have two LIC money back policies having a combine prm of Rs.30591/year. Now i want to invest in mutual funds (Rs.2000-2500/month). I am thinking of investing in HDFC Top200(SIP) or DSPB Rock. Please suggest me which of the above said mf would be better & secure ! Apart of the above MF, kindly suggest the MF that you think is the best one.

Regards, Gaurav

Always we need to take some kind of risk while investing in the Mutual funds.

Large cap- icici prudential focussed blue chip/Franklin India Blue chip large cap and mid cap--- Hdfc top 200 Balaced-- Hdfc Balanced /Hdfc prudence.

You can take a term plan instead of paying this much amount of lic premium...

@ vignesh @ pankaj Thanks to both of you for your valuable responses. I am thinking to invest in HDFC Top200 & DSPBR Top100 (Rs.2000/p.m & Rs.1500/p.m resp.). Please advise me the duration period for these . & should i take SIP for both of these. Also suggest if the above said amount is fine with both of the mutual funds ?? Please guide me coz i dont have any knowledge about mutual funds. Thanks & regards, Gaurav.

Both of these are good funds and fall into different categories, so you may go for SIP in both of these funds. Amount and duration will depend on your investment capacity. If you can keep paying, start with one year SIP and keep renewing thereafter if fund performance is still best among its peers.
